Their goal is healthy eating and with the popularity among their family and friends, they knew they were on to something.

This store is love at first sight for many. From the smells of candles and lotions, generous layout and natural feel, you'll never forget the first time you stepped foot inside Anthropologie. For any woman who is drawn to one of its various styles, it will remain at the top of mind.
The man who founded the chain got the inspiration from a female friend who wasn't finding clothing that fit where she was mentally and in life. Traveled. Experienced. Seeking. Relaxed. Yet accomplished.
The story on the Anthropologie site states it beautifully:
"Our customer is a creative-minded woman, who wants to look like herself, not the masses. She has a sense of adventure about what she wears, and although fashion is important to her, she is too busy enjoying life to be governed by the latest trends. To her, Anthropologie is a portal of discovery—a brush with what could be. A place for her to lose—and find—herself. Our product offering consists of women’s apparel and accessories, intimates, home furniture and décor, beauty and gifts. Each caters to the lifestyle of our five muses: soft & delicate; boho chic; easy cool; elegant classic; and modern sporty."
While their advertising is heavily boho chic, if you enter their store and view their collections with your own eyes, the designers are constantly delighting the customer with unique pieces that speak to that confident woman.
Anthropologie gives these women the space to be themselves.
If you know a fabulous woman in this category, head straight to Anthropologie.

Natural & Pretty as can be!
Instead of using only the bland colors of nature, they source the most vibrant pinks, greens, purples, making any gift a beautiful surprise, as well.
Stand by a company committed to creating products in a conscious manner not just during Christmas for gifting, but for a lifetime! LUSH.
21. Rook Apothecary
Huh? Most people have never heard the word apothecary in their lives. But once you've passed the threshold and into that time warp of herbs, natural soaps, vitamins, ground barks, all-natural beauty creams, secret essential oil formulas and drinkable concoctions, "apothecary" will be unforgettable. All of those wonderful aromas of nature remain embedded in your clothes for hours and in your mind for a lifetime.
Let's get even geekier and graze the etymology of the word "apothecary." Where did such a strange word come from? If you thought Greek or Latin, you're right. From the Greek apothēkē for meaning "a place where things are stored" to Latin apotheca, then into Old French apotecaire, the word in English is found in it's current form all the way back to the 14th century where it meant "shopkeeper," especially "pharmacist; one who stores, compounds, and sells medicaments."
Present day, however, the entrepreneurial spirit has moved these shops online. Rook Apothecary is one of those and her online shop specializes in hand-poured soy candles.
Susanne Duran, the owner, is a fellow Social Girl, so if you're looking to support small businesses, and especially your Social Girls, candles always make a wonderful gift. Your friends will love them as décor and as a nice ambiance-maker... and they will appreciate knowing that you are supporting a female entrepreneur!
